VideoCon VRS is a kind of recording, storage and broadcasting server for conference introduced by Shanghai VideoCon Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd., with an integration of all the characteristics of H.323 video conference recording server and IP stream media server, enabling record the audio frequency, video frequency and contents on computer screen from MCU and video conference terminal, which can either allow for multicasting the stream media to IP network or for on-demand playback through Web browser by PC, or on-demand playback via video conference terminal.

Recording and storage of contents
|
|
VRS records the video frequency in the formats of H.261, H.263, H264, and HD under ITU standard so as to ensure the recorded video data are stored without any distortion and at same time transmit them real-time into the standard stream media video format.

H.323 video terminal is called into VRS for recording
|
|
The video terminal is called directly into VRS for recording the terminal video-source contents such as video images from video-camera, images from computer screen etc.. VRS can record the contents from dual-channel video stream simultaneously. The video stream of the second channel can be either a dynamic video stream such as auxiliary video-camera, DVD etc., or a static video stream such as computer screen, image-test exhibition stand etc.

Connecting MCU and VRS for recording
|
|
VRS is connected to MCU for real-time recording the video frequency. VRS can record the contents from dual-channel video stream simultaneously. The video stream of the second channel can be either a dynamic video stream such as auxiliary video-camera, DVD etc., or a static video stream such as computer screen, image-test exhibition stand etc.

Downloading and uploading of conference details
|
|
VRS provides the function of downloading conference data files. The administrator can download video files, and release them to other stream media systems or save backup copies in other media, for example, recording them on CD etc.
|
|
VRS provides the function of uploading video files. Through safe release or external release, the stream media files can be released to VRS system for establishing multicasting channel or on-demand channel.

Multicasting and unicasting of stream media
|
|
VRS provides several stream media multicasting channels, allowing all the users to access the multicast or unicast video, audio and computer screen contents.

On-demand playback
|
|
The video conference terminal is provided with on-demand playback function: the proved video conference terminal can call VRS, allow for selective on-demand playback of video programs via remote controller. The on-demand contents can be output through the video, audio and VGA interface of video conference terminal.
VOD on-demand function is available. Any PC user can enjoy on-demand playback service of video and computer screen contents through Web browser.
